Editorial Review:
The Flybar 800, based on a one-of-a-kind, patented, fully-adjustable elastomeric spring system, has an elevation potential of over 5 feet. It feels like jumping on a trampoline. The high strength aluminum body safely supports riders from 80 to 180 pounds. Bike-pedal-width footpegs provide extra stability. It has a stowable tool and ultra-fast single pin adjustment with three different settings. An advanced polyurethane shock and sound absorption system ensures that you won't wake the neighbors. Includes full one year warranty.
By replacing the steel spring of a traditional pogo stick with a patented system of rubber spring elements, the pogo has been reinvented for the 21st century by the Flybar 800. This revolutionary, gravity-defying device can propel you four feet into the air, thanks to the eight heavy-gauge elastomer rubber "thruster" rods--which are specially formulated to stretch up to 300 percent. The spring system can be fine-tuned to reflect any jumper's skill level, body weight and goals. In addition to being a screaming good time, the Flybar 800 is also ideal for building balance, strength and endurance with a truly inspirational and challenging workout. Its body is constructed of high-strength, reinforced aluminum and it features sure-grip handlebars and foot pegs that let you stick every bounce perfectly. Designed for ages 12 and older, it supports riders from 80 to 180 pounds. Wear a helmet and use only with adult supervision. Adjusting the Flybar to Suit Your Weight

About the Flybar
It was this common quest for a product that could elevate adults as well as children to new levels and in new ways that ultimately led to the unlikely partnership between Andy Macdonald and SBI Enterprises. After countless meetings and false leads, Macdonald was about to abandon his quest, frustrated by the futility of his efforts to find a sporting goods manufacturer willing and able to develop this new product--until August 10, 2001. On that date, Macdonald spotted a story in The Wall Street Journal on the fad of newfangled pogos on the market, ones that included bells and whistles but lacked any new technology or capabilities. SBI's Irwin Arginsky was quoted in the article, making reference to a new technology that would revolutionize the concept of bouncing. Arginsky's goal: To create a new product category--not just a new fad.
With the market flooded at the time with pogo sticks that made promises they could not deliver, this team knew their product had to withstand the skeptics and truly earn respect. For three years, SBI and its development team of engineers, designers, and manufacturing experts collaborated with Macdonald to translate the patented system into a product capable of mass production and that met the exacting demands of Macdonald and Arginsky. After investing more than a million dollars and innumerable labor-hours, testing multiple prototypes, and resisting temptations to rush to market, the Flybar is now available in two models.

Summary: Doesn't Jump That High Comment: I bought this thing so I could jump really high. I am about 165 lbs and I have it set to jump as high as it can go and it will only jump about 1 foot. There is no way you can get this thing to jump 4 foot in the air, it is not worth the money the the bar in the middle is really wide, it feels very funny riding on it. Customer Rating: Summary: cool item Comment: I am very impressed by this flybar. It is such a great form of exercise for my son. We call it "the pogo stick on steroids". Everyone who sees it is impressed by it's performance. Customer Rating: Summary: Our 13-year old loves it! Comment: We got this pogo stick as a surprise Christmas gift for our 13-year old son. He was thrilled and is having lots of fun. He's about 5'1" and weighs 110lbs, and is able to generate about 2-feet of vertical height. After trying it on the novice level, we had to quickly move it to the intermediate level (second of 3 settings) and are using 5 of the 8 boosters, so he has lots of room to grow into it even further and generate more height later. Customer Rating: Summary: They love it! I just hope they don't break their necks! Comment: There was a little amount of assembly required, but the instructions were easy to follow. Adjusting the "jump" height and bands for different weight of rider was very easy. I would recommend helmets for all riders!! I really enjoy watching the boys trying to "out do" each other and still trying not to break a leg. A lot of fun! Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome Pogo Stick!!! Comment: THis pogo stick is the coolest one in the world. I literally cant stop bouncing on it!! My parents are going crazy form the noise it makes. It feels just like bouncing on a trampoline, and is very easily adjustable. It takes almost no effort to bounce on it. If you have the money, don't hesitate, just buy it!!!
