Comment: This is a great puzzle, and it is very well made. My daughter started playing with it when she was about 18 months old. Even though she couldn't always put the pieces in the correct spot, she still loved to play with them. Now that she is 2 yrs old, and able to complete the puzzle with ease, she likes it even more. I am trying to buy a puzzle rack to accommodate this and a few other Melissa and Doug chunky puzzles. I hope they will fit.

Summary: Great Starter Puzzle
Comment: I really like this whole Chuncky line of Melissa & Doug puzzles. The age reccomendations says 2 years but I believe that is way too old. I got a few of them for my daughter for her fist birthday and she instantly loved them. The pieces have pictures underneath so that your baby can match the pictures. They are super durable and will stand up to years of play by multiple children. Only down side is that they won't fit in any standard puzzle rack.

Summary: My daughter is in LOVE with this!
Comment: This puzzle has been the source of many afternoons of play for my daughter. She LOVES this puzzle AND it helped her learn her farm animals and animal sounds. We gave it to her for her first birthday and she was a little young to actually manipulate the puzzle, but she still liked to play with the animals separately. Now, she's close to two and could do this with her eyes closed. The edges of the pieces look a little worn after a year, but all in all, it's been a GREAT toy!

Summary: Fun yet educational!
Comment: I bought this for my 10 month daughter. She's a little young to understand the toy's concept. Nevertheless she loves it very much. Each animal piece is chunky yet compact for her to hold, and she loves the bright colors. Fun way to teach them about farm animals. Her favorite is the cow! Overall, it is a must-have for any child in their early developmental years.
However I'm not so sure how durable or safe the paint is, as she is teething and bites on the pieces quite a bit...
