Summary: NOT WHAT THEY WERE.
Comment: I hate, oh so hate, to do this, but I have to be honest. Many years ago I ate these things and loved them. They were always in my backpack when bumming around, always on fishing trips with me, and were a wonderful little snack to just have around. Due to health problems that were, to be honest, of my own making, my cardiologist put these on the list of things I should never touch. That was about 12 years ago. Recently, in a mood of complete rebellion, I purchased a box of these and said what the hell.....!

I hate to report this, but these were beyond a doubt some of the worst tasting things I have ever snacked on. They were absolutely completely different from the ones I remember. They were ultra greasy, had chunks of stuff in them that I do not even want to know about, or even think about, truth be told, and the flavor was horrid. If I had one word to describe them it would be "nasty." Now I know that this is a favorite of many, and I mean no insult by this review; but folks, you really need to try some other brand. This one simply is inferior to others I have tried during this period of rebellion I am going through.

I am now stuck with quite a number of these, and like several other reviewers here, am using them as treats for my dogs. They do not seem to mind, although I am not at all sure if they are good for them either.

I will give them two stars though, simply because of past memories and because the dogs like them. (although, it must be kept in mind that my dogs feel cat scat is a delicacy ranking right up there with old road kill)

Summary: Sister and dog food.
Comment: This is a popular snack food for many people, I know and I hesitate to write this review because of that. I have not had a Slim Jim in about ten or more years, decided I wanted some as I had fond memories of them, and ordered this package. What a horrible error that was. These are the most obnoxious, greasy, foul tasting thing I have ever eaten. They tasted nothing like they did the last time I had them and the consistency was completely different. I did some research and found that of all the meat snack foods of this ilk, these have the nastiest stuff in them....people, we are talking hair, teen and eyeball type stuff. No Thanks! I am no stranger to junk food, but even I have my limits.
On the plus side, my dogs love them so I use them for treats, even though I love my dogs. I also found that my sister likes them, which figures, as she will eat anything, and I do mean anything, so I have some to her. They are rather unhealthy so as far as I am concerned, that is even better.

I have to give these one star I fear. Please keep in mind that this is my opinion; perhaps there are more people in the world like my sister...go figure.

Comment: i got this and i pulled 1 out and i tried to smoke it and it wudnt light and wen i got it to light my wifes bald hed put it out so i lit it again and it tasted like a poo and so i threw em in the toilet and peed on em
