The transmitter is in a weather resistant case with a digital readout. It is easy to mount using the included wall mounting bracket. Summary: Temperature Sensor, that does the job Comment: It's a great product, i gave it 4 stars though since it doesn't have a switch to display the temperature in celsius instead of Farenheit only. Customer Rating: Summary: Cautiously optimistic Comment: We had to replace this outdoor sensor after a year. It could have been defective or perhaps some rain got into it somehow. I emailed La Crosse and they said the problems were with people using poor quality or dead batteries. This was not the case with ours. I replaced the original monitor with 3 different battery sets and all were new and tested fine on our battery tester. I could not get it to reset or work again. I think the problem is with the seals or lack of them and they get moisture in them that shorts them out. We'll see what happens to this new one. Customer Rating: Summary: Works as expected Comment: I have this sensor as well as the similar model without the LCD display. Works well, I use it in my daughters room to keep an eye on the temperature and humidity during the winter time. The only complaint is you can't read the LCD whn it is dark - no backlight. Customer Rating: Summary: TX7U Temperature Sensor Comment: I could not get this product to work with the La Crosse WS-8035U-IT Wireless 915mhz Forecast Station as it was advertised to do. After several hours of trying to get it to work I finally gave up in frustration. Had I known that this would be the case I would never have purchased either item. Customer Rating: Summary: Sensor Comment: This sensor replaced an old one on my deck. Following the installation directions, it worked perfectly.
