Summary: A great game which pays homage to one of the greatest games ever
Comment: Super Mario Advance 4 is one of the better games made for the Game Boy Advanced. There are several features listed already on the product description which adds a neat dimension to this game. Unfortunately, I do not own a Game Boy Advanced but instead own a Game Boy DS. So this will be a review based on my experience with the DS

When I started playing the game, I found I was unable to use the additional features. But I was happy to see that this had two games on it. Super Mario Brothers 3 and the original Mario Brothers. SMB3 was a perfect port of the original...almost. The game play, additions, bonus stages, hidden areas...everything was just like the original. I only have two complaints about the game.

1. Mario's voice didn't add anything to the game. It was just something they threw on which just got annoying very quickly. There was no way to shut him up.

2. They changed the music for the end sequence. :-( I loved the music for the original ending. This was just something generic.

As for the original Mario Brothers...I had hours of fun playing it when I was a kid. This port was excellent. It was simple to play and easy to lose yourself in it. Don't be surprised when you find yourself running from crabs in order to live for another 2 seconds before getting fried by a fireball....sigh :-)
